THEME TEST: HOMEPAGER

Picture this … you setup a new Wordpress installation on a new domain, your Homepage is Two Column … but you want to put up salepage layouts for your products. That is .. NO header, NO menu and NO sidebar to distract attention away from that Buy Now Button.

  • disabling plugins still leaves the sidebar area
  • tweaking CSS and code is tricky and Theme specific usually
  • how the heck do I display without the sidebar
    and bring the text to fullpage anyway!!

As your probably well aware … getting an ordinary Theme to do this is beyond most web users capabilities (it is quite techy) … most Themes with child pages aren`t setup to “sell” either … almost all leave the header in and don`t have the “salepage” look.
